We probably should have guessed that it would be damn near impossible to post during the holiday season. Sorry it's been so long since any updates. We had a great Christmas and New Year's with most of our family. Then, we've been very busy getting back into the swing of things here in Austin. I confess that figuring out what color walls should be or how the heck to put down laminate flooring at the new church space has overtaken my desire to blog the last few weeks. But that's all over, and I expect us to be back now with a lot of gusto.
In pregnancy related news, Kim has continued to feel gross. She hasn't thrown up once, but she almost always feels like she is going to. I think I've noticed the moodiness more than she has (what's new?), but overall I think it's gone so much better than it could have been. We'll be out of this 1st trimester in a few weeks now, and hopefully one of the toughest parts will be behind us. My aunt Trena didn't help matters much when she told us that she was sick her entire pregnancy, but I've told Kim repeatedly that's not normal and this will probably be done soon.
In baby equipment news, we have a grandfather and a great-grandfather designing a cradle and a dresser. We have a crib sitting in an attic that has been promised to us from Don and Emily. We made our first visit to Babies R' Us, after which I needed a stiff drink and a place to lie down. We have been given two onesies I believe, along with a blanket, a few books, and lots of other cute stuff.
There's tons to write I am sure, but it can't all be done today. So, consider this the icebreaker after a two week break.
